1977, Leningrad. Young hockey player Alexey Kasatkin is forced to play for the reserve team of "Aurora," which is fighting for survival in the top league. But his dreams and ambitions collide with the harsh reality that crushes hopes for both sports success and personal happiness. Alexey, caught in a whirlpool of intrigue, machinations, and unsolvable mysteries, faces betrayal from his beloved, the loss of friends, and a career breakdown—as if the ice suddenly cracked beneath his feet. Having gone through hell, broken but not having lost his will, Alexey returns to hockey to lead the renewed "Aurora," to get a chance to defend his name, his team, and his country.
