Swiss Society of Practical Psychology. In the opening work of the collection "Psychology of dementia praecox," dedicated to the psychogenesis and characteristics of the course of schizophrenia, Jung summarized the results of his early research at the Burghölzli clinic, where he had extensive opportunities to study the nature and manifestations of psychoses. This work had a profound impact on Sigmund Freud and instantly introduced the young scholar into the circle of recognized researchers in the field of psychiatry. Subsequently, Jung repeatedly returned to the topic of psychogenesis of mental illnesses, revising his assessments and proposals in light of new research and accumulated experience. The works presented in the collection allow us to trace the dynamics of Jung's views on this issue over half a century – from 1907 to 1958.
