The book is dedicated to the issues of theory and practice of contemporary American psychoanalysis by Hyman Spotnitz and his followers. For the first time, a clinical classification and description of the most commonly encountered countertransference resistances are proposed. The theoretical aspects of psychoanalytic methodology are illustrated with expressive clinical cases and examples.
