Dear mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers! We present to you a wonderful guide to handwriting that will be a great friend to your preschooler. Developing fine motor skills is very important for a child, as it is the basis for proper hand movement when writing. Our guide will help your little one master straight and broken lines, smooth transitions and connections, tracing along dotted lines, vertical and horizontal shading, as well as individual letter elements and the letters themselves. In each lesson, it is important to boost the child's self-esteem, and it should be done unobtrusively and imperceptibly. For this, the material in the guide is presented in such a way that some elements are repeated after a series of completed exercises. This means that the material is consolidated when the child has already acquired certain skills. Thus, each subsequent task of “tracing-connecting-shading” will become easier for the child, and they will be able to see the results of their hard work and evaluate it objectively. The exercises on the first pages of the guide include visual graphic cues - arrows. The child is encouraged to work on the lines and not go beyond their boundaries. The next step involves dotted elements for tracing, but without indicating directions. Next, the work with dots progresses without fixed rulers. Then, letter elements and the letters themselves are added. There are also small drawings on the pages that the child can color and take a little break. By mastering the technique of the initial stage of writing, the child will acquire solid skills in correctly holding a pencil and pen, and adults can rest assured that their child will become the happy owner of beautiful neat handwriting in the future.
