Death

The Four Horsemen have come to our world to destroy humanity. PESTILENCE, with a crown pulled down over his brow. WAR, wielding a steel blade high. FAMINE, with a scythe and scales in hand. DEATH — grim, with dark wings folded behind him, holding a torch that emits poisonous smoke. They have come to kill us all. When Death arrives in the city of Lazarus Gomona and kills everyone in one sweep, he does not expect to see a woman left alive. But Lazarus possesses an extraordinary gift: she cannot be killed — by humans, by the elements, or by Death himself. She is the only soul that Death cannot tear from the flesh. The only soul for which he feels an irresistible desire. To take her — that is what he desperately wants. And with each moment, this desire grows stronger. The end is near.
