The Four Horsemen have come to our world to destroy humanity. PESTILENCE, with a crown pulled down over his brow. WAR, wielding a steel blade high. FAMINE, with a scythe and scales in hand. When Death arrives in the city of Lazarus Gomona and kills everyone in one sweep, he does not expect to see a woman left alive. But Lazarus possesses an extraordinary gift: she cannot be killed — by humans, by the elements, or by Death himself. She is the only soul that Death cannot tear from the flesh.
