The Celts, unlike any other people, are surrounded by an aura of mystery; their culture, which has influenced the tradition of all Europe, attracts and fascinates. Celtic mythology is rich in magical legends and tales passed down orally and, in the diversity of gods and heroes, is on par with ancient Greek mythology. The book includes the famous collection of Welsh tales "Mabinogion" as retold by Lady Charlotte Guest, as well as "Irish Tales" (retold by Lady Isabella Augusta Gregory).
