Flirt or Throw-in

Gathering the pieces of my heart, I decided: no more athletes. To forget about the betrayal of my ex, I dove headfirst into my work as a history teacher. But I still have to spend too much time at the... hockey arena since my best friend married an NHL player. And now his teammate won’t leave me alone. Colby Knight is used to winning both on the ice and off of it, so he takes my disinterest as a challenge. I ignore his attempts until it occurs to me to use this guy to get my ex's attention. We spend a lot of time together, and I realize I am drifting further away from my goal. Those cute but simultaneously tempting dimples on Colby's cheeks... Who was I trying to attract? But just when I think these relationships could become something more, the painful past comes back to remind me why I vowed to stay away from athletes.
