Ivan Tsarevich and Vasilisa the Beautiful, Baba Yaga and Koshchei the Deathless, the swan geese, healing apples, and the mysterious number "three" – all of these are heroes and symbols from fairy tales, familiar to us from childhood. The history of folk texts has deep ancient roots, and their meanings seem absolutely obvious to us today. And it seems that there are no subtexts at all. But is that really the case?
