Terrinoth is in trouble! Demon-possessed barbarians have invaded the kingdom, destroying everything in their path, killing and looting, while in the Misty lands new hordes of... the undead rise from their graves, led by none other than Vaikar the Immortal. While capital politicians continue to argue about what is more dangerous and what to fight first, the threat of the deadly grip tightens around the state's throat. Will there be heroes who will challenge the otherworldly forces and stop them?

"Descent: Legends of the Dark" – is a new game that continues the legendary series. Now, unlike previous parts, all players will be on the same side, taking on the role of heroes, while the management of monsters and map generation will be handled by the electronic app. The game is designed for a company of up to 4 players, and there is also a solo mode. Players will travel through ancient dungeons, dense enchanted groves, and fields of long-forgotten battles, where the ground is soaked in blood, fighting powerful demons and terrifying undead, and much more.

Players choose heroes, receive starting equipment, and head into battle. Heroes move across the field, fighting monsters, interacting with the three-dimensional environment and each other, and acquiring new weapons, armor, and artifacts. An interesting feature: the attack card is created from two double-sided weapon cards, so you prepare the hero's strike yourself (later the attack card is turned over and the remaining abilities on the other side are activated).

A game of Descent consists of a series of rounds, and each round consists of a hero phase, where they move, attack enemies, and interact with the surrounding world, and a darkness phase, where acquired debuffs activate, enemies take their turns, scenario events occur, and devious plans are hatched.

This is a fully cooperative game, meaning all players win or lose together. Victory can only be achieved by completing all the tasks of the scenario; accordingly, if any task becomes impossible to complete, the heroes lose.

Heroes will also lose if one of them becomes wounded while already suffering from a serious illness. The outcomes of one scenario can affect the progress of the next.
