About the game
"Arkham Horror: The Card Game" is a cooperative Living Card Game set in the mythos of Lovecraft, in which 1-2 investigators (and with a second set – 3-4) jointly explore the world of occultism, ancient gods, and mysteries, while battling their inner demons from the past.Each player takes on the role of one of the investigators and builds their own deck based on the abilities of their character. The core of the gameplay is interconnected scenarios that set the pace of the game and create a narrative. Games in this installment are extremely atmospheric! The set of scenarios transforms into a campaign. In each scenario, investigators find themselves in various locations and explore them in search of clues necessary for advancing investigations and uncovering secrets.During the game, investigators encounter foes and curses, attempt to overcome all adversities and defeat the enemies of the Mythos. Players control the actions of their characters through their investigator deck. Scenarios lead campaigns, offering the most interesting adventures.Each round begins with the Myth phase. In this phase, a terror token is placed on the agenda card, and each player draws a card from the contact deck. If there is a curse on the game card, a check occurs based on the specified skill on the curse, and if you fail, some negative effect is triggered. If there is a monster on the card, it attaches to the investigator, and they must either fight it or attempt to slip past.Then comes the Investigation phase, where players perform up to 3 actions from the available ones in any order:Draw a card
Gain resources
Activate an action from a previously played card
Summon a monster to them
Attempt to evade a monster
Attack a monster
Attempt to gather clues
Move to another location
Play a card from hand for resources
After the players' turn, the Monster phase occurs. There are many different opponents; some enemies move toward the heroes, while those already close attack, automatically piling terror and wounds onto the investigators.At the end of the round, the Respite phase occurs, during which all players draw a card and receive one resource each.Who won?
Since the game is team-based, all players win or lose together. Players progress through the scenario and reach a resolution. Some of them are more favorable and can be considered a victory. Others leave the investigators in challenging and dangerous situations. Specific moments and consequences are directly tied to the specific scenario.
