Board game for explaining words PARTY QUEST: Put together the picture, yes or no, read backwards

Hello, I am the voice assistant Alina! I want to play a game with you… Today you will go through a quest consisting of different rooms. To exit the room, a key is needed — the correct word or phrase. The problem is that this key is known only to one person in your team, and everyone must say it together. Whether you escape from the room depends on how well you can explain words and phrases in various ways. Shall we play?

How to play?

I will briefly explain the course of the game. Don’t think that I want to help you. I just like to keep everything fair. And I don’t like you…

1. Select a player. They will explain a word or phrase to their team in a specified manner (sometimes the method can be chosen themselves, sometimes it must be explained as the game suggests).
2. The participant draws a card from the appropriate deck. Decide in advance which numbered words you will be explaining today.
3. The time is set — one minute (unless stated otherwise). During this time, the player explains the word or phrase to their team.
4. The participants must name the word or phrase exactly as it is written on the card. Only in this case will the answer be counted.
5. If the team guesses the word in the allotted time, the participants move their token forward. If not, it stays in place (unless stated otherwise). The turn goes to the other team.
6. When a team enters a new room, they must check for traps or bonuses. For this, any player from the team draws a trap or bonus card.
   • If the card is empty, the game continues according to the usual rules.
   • If the card has a bonus or a trap, the action prescribed by that card must be performed.
7. The team cannot leave the room until they complete the task or until the trap and bonus cards demand it. If for any reason the team returns to a previously passed room, its members draw a new trap and bonus card for that room.

Explanation methods you will definitely encounter: "Read backward", "Assemble the picture", "Yes or no". There is also a new method — "All sorts of ways": speak with restrictions, blitz, explain to a deaf person, and more. I won’t reveal all the secrets.

The team that first completes the task of the last room or is the first to open and pass through all the rooms wins.
