Fear and Its Servant

The only problem is that he is deadly afraid of them, so he prefers to hide behind the backs of the local aristocracy and his servant. To brighten his stay in the city, the charismatic devil tries to seduce a married duchess. However, she is in love with another. Nevertheless, the devil does not really need the duchess. He increasingly remembers his exile from Paradise, evenings with Mary Magdalene, meetings with Jesus, and the prophecy of the Second Coming… While the reader is occupied with the detective, romantic, and historical elements of the novel, the author begins a game with them. The duchess and the devil are unreliable narrators. You will have to choose which version of the ending to believe in.
