Metaphysics

The ideas of the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle laid the foundation for all Western philosophy. He was a student of Plato and often engaged in debate with his mentor in his writings. Exploring the foundations of being, Aristotle rejected the theory of ideas and proclaimed the doctrine of four causes: matter, form, efficient cause, and final cause. The philosopher presented this and other concepts in his works, which were later compiled by another ancient Greek philosopher, Andronicus of Rhodes, into the collection "Metaphysics".
It consists of 14 books, each divided into chapters. In them, Aristotle describes the system of sciences, ponders what wisdom is, what the good is, and deduces the laws of logic that we still use today.
