Which words to use in speech or writing – native or borrowed, each person decides for themselves. Much depends on the situation, genre, and many other factors. You can call galoshes wet shoes, and an architect – a builder. You can call humanism philanthropy, and sadness – depression. The choice is yours. And it is very good if we all consciously choose words, understanding in which cases a foreign word is more appropriate, and in which – a native word for the language.
