Literacy: Reading and Retelling. A Workbook of Playful Exercises for Children Aged 6-7 Years

The manual "Literacy: Reading and Retelling" is the third stage of the literacy and speech development training system for preschool children and is part of the set of workbooks "Literacy". The diverse tasks in the manual, tailored to the age characteristics of 6-7-year-old children, will help: develop the skill of continuous reading in children; diversify the types of work with text; introduce the theoretical concepts "sentence", "word", "syllable", "sound", "letter", "stress" into the children's active vocabulary; expand the active vocabulary, improve the grammatical structure, and coherent speech of children; enhance children's skills in working with word schemes; teach children to give basic characteristics of Russian language sounds (vowel and consonant sounds, hard and soft consonants, voiced and voiceless); continue the work on developing writing skills.
The workbook is intended for conducting group classes with children aged 6-7 years in preschool educational institutions, and can also be used by parents to organize independent developmental activities for children.
