The manual offers a system of exercises for the automation of the sound S in preschoolers aged 4–7, which transforms monotonous and repetitive work on consolidating the pronunciation of the sound established by the speech therapist into an engaging game.... Simultaneously, with the automation of the sound, the child improves reading skills, develops fine motor skills, and enhances creative imagination. Working with this manual contributes to faster automation of the sound in spontaneous speech, the development of phonemic hearing, improvement of the syllabic structure of words, correction of the lexical and grammatical structure of speech, reinforcement of knowledge about the automated sound and corresponding letter, and the formation of the skill of sound-letter analysis of syllables and words. Automation is conducted according to the traditional scheme in speech therapy. The effectiveness of corrective work is ensured by using a number of auxiliary techniques (working with three-dimensional and flat toys, counting sticks, creating gameplay situations during the session). The manual is intended for conducting individual work with the child and is addressed to speech therapists, educators of speech therapy groups, and parents of children with speech disorders.
