Hunger

The Four Horsemen came to our world to destroy humanity. PESTILENCE, with a crown pulled down over his forehead. WAR, holding high a steel blade. HUNGER, with a scythe and scales in his hands. And DEATH, gloomy, with dark wings... folded behind his back, holding a torch that puffed with poisonous smoke. They came to kill us all. Ana da Silva always assumed she would die young, but she never expected it to happen at the hands of Hunger — the immortal who saved her life many years ago. But if the horseman remembered her, it was certainly without any particular warmth. After all, in their next encounter, he would wound her and leave her to die. Only she doesn’t quite die. If Hunger is good at anything, it’s at cruelty. Stupid pathetic little humans don’t deserve anything else. No matter how hard Hunger tries, he cannot forget what they once did to him. But when Ana, a ghost from a long-ago past, corners him and threatens him with retribution, it looks so charming that he decides to keep her for himself.
