Return to Auschwitz-Birkenau

In March 1944, 19-year-old Ginette Kolinka was deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp with her father, younger brother, and nephew.

She was the only one in her family to return.

Many years after the end of World War II and despite such a traumatic, often incomprehensible experience for an ordinary person, Ginette found the strength within herself to truthfully and unvarnished tell about what she saw and endured.
