How to play?

   1) Game for 5–14 players and a host
   The narrator is the host – an adult or a child who can read well. The cards should be divided into 2 piles – character cards and item cards – and distributed among the participants according to the number of players. After receiving their role, all players sit at a sufficient distance from each other.
   The castle guests' cards have 2 positions: normal (human) and upside down, with the vampire symbol up (became a vampire). At the beginning, all guests are just humans, so they should keep their cards in the normal position (picture side facing them, so others cannot see their role).
   The vampire hunter's goal is to destroy all vampires. The vampires' goal is to bite the vampire hunter. The castle guests' goal is not to become vampires and help the vampire hunter defeat the villains.
   Once all players are seated, the host begins to narrate the story. In the rule mastering stage, he reads it from a sheet. The left column of the table contains the script, and the right column in italics indicates the participants' actions. They should be pronounced until all players memorize what they need to do at what moment.
   The game continues until the vampire hunter exterminates all vampires, then he wins along with the surviving guest players, or until the vampires bite the hunter, then the vampires win, as no one in the castle can resist them now.

  2) Game for 3–5 players
   If there are few participants, a simplified version without a host is suitable. The role deck is formed from guests and one vampire. The other castle guests have suddenly disappeared in this plot. There is no night phase. Players immediately discuss the situation in the castle, while the vampire tries to deflect suspicion from himself, and the guests try to guess who the vampire is.
   The vampire wins if he is left alone with the last guest, and the guests win if they kill the vampire. Number of players: 3-15
