Aleksandra Osipovna Ishimova – a Russian writer, publisher, friend of P. A. Vyazemsky, V. A. Zhukovsky, A. S. Pushkin. The main work of her life is "History of Russia in Stories for Children." The book brought A. O. Ishimova nationwide fame. The Imperial St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences highly appreciated the writer’s work: "The composition of Lady Ishimova is warmed by love for the Motherland, aimed at moral benefit, and can encourage children to attentive reading of Russian history."
