Tang Novels

The cultural heritage of the Chinese people is vast and multifaceted.

One part of this heritage is literature, whose history goes back two and a half millennia.

A special place in Chinese literature is occupied by the time of the Tang Empire (7th - 10th centuries). The Tang period of Chinese literature was marked by the emergence of the short story, the "Tang novel".

They were circulated among the people in the form of folk tales and songs, and the themes of many novellas (primarily romantic) formed the basis for dramas of the 13th-16th centuries.

Tang novelists wrote many bright pages in the treasure trove of literature of their great nation.
