The State. With Comments and Illustrations

The ancient Greek philosopher Plato was a student of Socrates, whom he highly revered, and a teacher of Aristotle. Believing that true philosophy can only exist on the condition of constant dialogue, Plato wrote his works in the same form, making Socrates the main character and putting his own thoughts into his mouth. Plato's "The State" is the first attempt in human history to build a model of society where everyone would be happy, and a model of the state where everyone would do what they do best. This idea remains relevant to this day. All texts are accompanied by detailed comments and explanations.
