The first novel by Hemingway, dedicated to the "lost generation" of the 1920s, became a kind of reflection of the writer's personal story, which largely echoed the story of his characters. The novel is adapted using Ilya Frank's reading method: it comes with a literal translation into Russian and necessary lexical-grammatical commentary (without simplifying the original text).
