A story about mysterious and sinister events surrounding a secluded house on the seashore, blown by all winds, filled with the noise of the surf, a sense of danger, and a premonition of impending disaster. One of the most famous works by R. L. Stevenson is adapted in this edition using Ilya Frank's method: it is equipped with a literal translation into Russian and necessary lexical and grammatical commentary (without simplifying the original text).
