Autumn in the Savernak forest is coming to an end... Help the animals gather and stock up food for the winter! "Autumn Forest" is a game in which 2-4 players build their own section of the forest with pathways along... which animals and food will appear. To score the most points, players must ensure that each path allows animals to gather their favorite food.

Foxes, hedgehogs, beavers, owls, rabbits, woodpeckers, wild cats... There are up to 23 different species of animals living in the Savernak forest. At the end of autumn, they all prepare to spend the cold winter with enough provisions, and you must help them… For the game, you have two decks of square cards: one with animals depicted, and the other with forest paths full of delicious food. Each player is randomly dealt an animal card that shows how much food it can store and its preferences. For example, a fox loves eggs, but not berries or nuts. To achieve the best result, you must try to make each animal gather its favorite food.

During the setup, three road cards and one animal card are laid out for all players. On their turn, each player will choose one of them and add it to their forest, always following the rules:
- there can never be two animals on one path;
- cards must be adjacent, and no cards can be placed outside the 4x4 grid.

The game ends when all participants have filled their forest, consisting of a total of 16 cards. Throughout the game, certain animals will assist players, depending on the card they choose from the central market. The rooster will help you get up early, so you can be the first to choose a card on the next turn. The armadillo teaches you how to dig the best shelters to store more food, allowing you to take a burrow token and add it to one of your animal cards to increase that animal's capacity by 1. The goat teaches you to drink water better, offering a water drop token that can be tied to food and increase its value by 1. The rabbit will help you attract new animals to your forest.

For players who need more complex challenges, the rulebook offers a two-player variant with some modifications that increase the difficulty.
