Soft Plush Cat Toy DIY

A soft toy made of colorful felt and velvet is a great gift idea! With this kit, you can easily create a cat toy on your own; you won’t need anything else.
    Kit contents:
    • body parts of... the figure made of knitted, velvety fabric with a slight fur pile – 2 pcs. (16.5 x 24.5 cm)
    • felt parts with perforated holes – 9 pcs.
    • dress blank made of textile material (neoprene) – 1 pc.
    • embroidery threads (in white, black, pink, and blue colors)
    • safe plastic needle – 1 pc. (5 cm)
    • satin ribbon – 1 pc.
    • filling – 1 pack.
    The size of the finished toy is 25x15 cm.

How to sew the toy?
1. Embroider the mouth with a double “forward needle” stitch.
2. Sew on the snout.
3. Sew on the eyes and nose, aligning with the corresponding holes. 
4. Sew the pink and white parts of the ears as shown in the packaging picture (the reverse side of the box visually shows how to sew them).
5. Sew the collar to the dress. Stitch the dress together at the sides with a “whip stitch”.
6. Fold the body parts together with the fur facing out and sew them together with a “whip stitch”, inserting the ear parts between them and aligning the necessary holes.
Leave an opening unstitched!
7. Through the remaining opening, carefully stuff the toy with the filling. Start with the paws and finish with the head of the toy.
8. Stitch the opening shut. Put on the dress. Tie the ribbon belt.

The toy is ready!
Sewing can be done using the "forward needle" stitch, the double "forward needle" stitch, and the "whip stitch". Instructions are on the back of the packaging.
Creating a toy by yourself promotes patience, develops imagination, creative thinking, fine motor skills, and sewing skills.
