To create a profitable dream, you will need resources, and to obtain them, you will place special specialists – oneironauts – on the board. A unique mechanic is responsible for this action in the game. Everything depends on your plans and the available cards in the market. In each round, you will need to invent a clever working mechanism to win. Resources are required for drawing dream cards, with which you will create sweet dreams for your company's clients. And to make the effects of dreams stronger and cooler, try to fill them with key images. Attract a new audience, accumulate wealth, and show your competitors who the real professional is in this market. Dream in hand!
How to play?
In the center of the table is the oneirosphere board with a sleep phase track, as well as dream cards divided into 3 decks by type: lucid, collective, and recurring. Players receive personal components: server and dream boards, oneironaut tokens, resource markers, image tokens, and one dream card of each type. Now everything is ready for your corporation to start working!
The first player is the main dreamer, that is, the one who woke up the latest, and the player's turn is divided into 3 phases:
Placement of an oneironaut or change of sleep phase
Market replenishment
End game check
In the first phase, you either place an oneironaut on a free cell of the oneirosphere and perform its actions, or you move the marker to the next sleep phase, and players return oneironauts to the supply from the column above which the marker is now located.
Depending on the occupied cell by the oneironaut, you may gain resources, an image token, or a card from the market, play a card, place images on the dream cards, and also activate the properties of previously played cards.
The key action in the game is to create dreams, as they will bring the majority of victory points at the end of the game. Each type of card requires its own type of resources, which will limit the number of actions you can take. Study the cards! The better you know your cards, the more effectively you can use them. But if you can effectively launch dreams into action, you can activate a whole chain of actions! Also, absolutely at any time and as many times as you want, you can discard a card from your hand and receive the bonus stated on it.
After completing all actions, the second phase begins: replenish the market so that there are 2 open cards of each type of dream. Then check if the game is over: if any player has placed 12 or more dream cards, the scoring begins after the last player's turn. Otherwise, the turn passes to the next player.
Who won?
The goal of any corporation is to earn a lot, which comes from successfully completed work. When the game ends, players count their earned credits:
Sum the costs of each dream you created
Receive one credit for each placed image token
Count the number of remaining cards in hand, unused image tokens, and unspent resources and divide the resulting sum by 5 rounding down.
Sum the received credits. The player who earned the most becomes the winner!
