«They didn't need to die to know hell...» A year has passed since Esher Scott, the head of a powerful criminal network, removed the captive Ella from his life, tearing her away from the life she, a former victim of years of violence, had just begun to get used to. And while she is once again licking her wounds and waking up every night from panic attacks, he, too proud to admit his mistakes, cannot banish the memories of her, «his angel». But one fine day they meet again. And this time Ella is not going to forgive and endure — she plans to take revenge on Esher for his indifference, for his despotism, for a year of silence, while he is willing to do anything to rekindle tender feelings in her heart, not realizing that in doing so, he is risking his own heart. Meanwhile, a conflict is brewing in the network led by Esher over a redistribution of power — and things could end with fatal gunfire...
