On Death and Dying

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross (1926–2004) wrote the book "On Death and Dying" in 1969, first formulating the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Each stage is dedicated to a separate chapter of the book. Kübler-Ross explored the topic of death and dying in the broadest sense, expressing ideas about how important it is for the dying not to be alone in the last, but such an important stage of life; how to help patients come to terms with a diagnosis; and how to support those who care for them – medical staff and families.
