Destination — the village of Similekh. How to get there from Moscow? The first day of the trip — seven hours by plane to Yakutsk, a night in a hotel. The second day of the trip — a ferry crossing... and seven to nine hours by car, a night in a rented apartment. The third day of the trip — two hours by car, about half an hour on a motorboat. What to see? Mammoth bones. Katya did not dream of such summer vacations. Together with her father, she is going to the remote Yakut village of Similekh. Nearby, there is only wild impenetrable taiga, steep rocks, and a cold unfriendly river. Locals tell frightening stories. From the opposite bank of the river come terrifying cries, animals go mad, and girls with ancient lamps wander in the taiga. Katya learns that Similekh has more than one missing person on its record.
