Set the coordinates, activate the faster-than-light engine, and embark on an adventure into the unknown to shed light on the mysteries of the universe!

"Distant Stars" is an exciting journey, at the end of which each player will create their own map of space! During the exploration, you will encounter alien races, discover new clusters of bright stars, find treasures of previously unexplored planets, and try to avoid dangerous black holes. Draw a unique route on your map of space using directions from the exploration zone tokens. But which path will you draw, and which will the other players draw, depends on the module you choose. Act wisely, and your map will surely lead humanity to new heights!

 

Each explorer will draw a map on their space sheet and determine the route using modules and the flight control panel. The modules consist of a hexagon and a circle: the symbol on the hexagon indicates the opponents, while the symbol on the circle indicates you. The flight control module contains 10 exploration zone tokens, 5 on each side, depicting shapes that you explorers will draw on the map. Each round consists of a distribution phase and a drawing phase. In the first phase, the active player takes the top module from the module stack and places it on any side of the flight control panel opposite any two exploration zone tokens. As you remember, the symbol on the circular part of the module indicates the active player, so they draw the shape opposite the circular part of the module, while all others draw the shape opposite the hexagonal part. Each subsequent shape must cover at least one cell adjacent to the previously drawn shape: they can be rotated and mirrored. The main thing is to draw the shape completely. When a player cannot place a new module, or they run out, the round ends. Collect the modules back into the stack and start a new round.

At the end of the third round, the game ends. On the flight control panel between the exploration zone tokens are mission tokens – they indicate which shapes should be drawn next to which cells on the space sheet. For example, an alien cell is filled with a crescent-shaped figure. Count how many times the mission token conditions have been met and compare with the table in the rules: the more times you fulfill them, the more points this mission will bring. The player with the most points from all 5 missions is declared the winner and the most successful explorer of space!
