There Will Be Blood

Stephen King is a writer who loves traditions. One of the most wonderful and revered traditions among millions of his fans is the publication of collections that invariably consist of four novellas. Thus, we are all well acquainted with the books "Four Seasons," "Four After Midnight," "Darkness, and Nothing More." This time Stephen King presents readers with just such a collection, where each work immerses us in its unique and mysterious atmosphere. In the titular novella "There Will Be Blood," the beloved character Holly Gibney from "The Outsider" and the trilogy "Mr. Mercedes" realizes after a terrible explosion at her school that there are other monsters in the world, like the outsider, but this time she must face Evil one-on-one. "Mr. Harrigan's Phone" is a touching story of friendship between a boy and an elderly millionaire. In the novella "Chuck's Life," the Master reflects on the significance of human life. The final story "The Rat" tells of a deal struck between a writer and a very unusual being.
