Diagnosis of a speechless child. How to identify mechanisms and determine the structure of the disorder
Today in correctional pedagogy there are various methods for conducting diagnostics and making a speech diagnosis. However, making an accurate speech diagnosis fades into the background when the child comes for correction, since each structure of the disorder is individual....
As a rule, the child has combined disorders, which makes it extremely difficult to differentiate the manifestations between the main and secondary defect and, of course, complicates the diagnostic process. Therefore, making an accurate diagnosis in practice does not solve the main problem - developing a corrective route. Today, a speech pathologist-defectologist is faced with the difficult task of not just making a diagnosis, but determining the mechanism of the disorder. To solve this problem, a specialist must have knowledge from various fields, such as neuroanatomy, physiology, hearing impairment and typhology, neuropsychology, child psychology, etc. But to determine a correction route, it is not enough to simply collect all the necessary data. The purpose of this book is to talk about the principles of diagnostics, teach how to analyze information and correctly interpret the results. The book is addressed to special education teachers (speech therapists, defectologists, teachers of the deaf, etc.), teachers of special groups and kindergartens.
