Web Application Development on PHP 8

The creation of web applications in PHP version 8.x is described with practical examples. The basics of PHP development are provided: installation and configuration of Apache 2.4, PHP, MySQL, and cross-platform builds of XAMPP, choice of PHP code editor, language... syntax, the most useful functions, and innovations in PHP 8.x are outlined. The creation of web applications using the popular framework Laravel and the Blade templating engine is considered. Two servers are used as data storage - the most modern version of MySQL and the increasingly popular database management system MongoDB. The features of creating a file upload indicator and dereferencing arrays are revealed, examples of eliminating typical SEO errors made by programmers are given, and work with PDO, JSON, MP3, Curl, MobileDetect is described. Special attention is paid to the security of web applications - it discusses how to protect them from major attacks, how to install an SSL certificate, and how to protect the server from troubles.
