Android Through the Eyes of a Hacker

The internal architecture of the Android OS, the partitions and file systems it uses, the workings of update mechanisms and internal security tools are examined. The access control in the Android OS, privileges, methods for obtaining root rights, customization, and... installation of custom firmware are discussed. Tools for disassembling, debugging, and analyzing the code of mobile applications are described, along with examples of code modification aimed at changing software functions and injecting third-party modules into applications.
