The detective agency of Vera Berezhnaya is approached by the organized crime boss Nikolai Khromov with a request to find his son Stepan, who has disappeared without a trace from home. The private detectives manage to find out that Stepan is a professional poker player and is planning to participate in a major tournament soon. The prize pool amounts to millions of dollars. To understand what is happening from the inside, one of the agency's employees, Pyotr Yalagin, goes to the tournament. He not only becomes a direct participant in the bloody events unfolding around the grand game but also meets his love. But how long will it last?
