Hercule Poirot's Christmas

One of the best detective stories by Agatha Christie featuring a classic English locked room mystery. The events of the novel "Hercule Poirot's Christmas" (Hercule Poirot's Christmas) unfold on Christmas Eve and after, from December 22 to 27, in the... country house Gorston Hall in the fictional town of Longdendale on the border of England and Scotland. At the center of the narrative is the murder of the host, elderly millionaire Simeon Lee, who for the first time in twenty years decided to gather all his children for Christmas. The murder occurs the very evening before Christmas after a major family scandal. The main investigation is led by talented Inspector Sugden with the support of Colonel Johnson, the head of the local police. Since on the evening of the murder Colonel Johnson's friend, Hercule Poirot, was visiting, the colonel invites the famous detective to help solve the murder as an unofficial consultant, and he, as always, brilliantly handles the task at hand.
