Childhood. Adolescence

The novella "Childhood" is based on the diary entries of L.N. Tolstoy. It was the first experience of psychological analysis of the child's world in Russian literature. Using the example of the boy Nikolai Irtényev, the novella traces the various... stages of a person's development in the early period of life, determining his future fate. The novella "Adolescence" is a direct continuation of "Childhood." The main character enters adolescence, which Tolstoy considered one of the most difficult periods in a person's life. Complex contradictory feelings drive the hero to ambiguous actions that he cannot explain to himself. Adolescence is a time of painful confrontations with the world and surrounding people, a time of conscious personal development.
