Medical Massage. Basic Course. Classical Massage Technique

The teaching aid outlines the initial basic principles for developing differentiated methodologies for applying classical massage techniques used in the treatment and prevention of various injuries and diseases. A unified system for dosing massage exposure is considered, allowing for a clearer determination of the intensity of both individual techniques and the procedure, as well as the entire course of massage as a whole. The publication includes an illustrated description of the main massage techniques used in classical massage, as well as an overview of specific methodologies, knowledge and implementation of which during therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitation activities are necessary for the relevant specialists with a secondary medical education. The teaching aid is developed in accordance with the professional standard for the “Medical Massage” specialty and in accordance with the PM.02 program “Participation in Therapeutic-Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Processes”, created based on the federal state educational standard for the specialty of secondary vocational education 34.02.01 “Nursing”. It is intended for students of medical schools and colleges, massage therapists - nursing specialists in massage, and will also be beneficial for teachers of the relevant discipline in preparing and conducting classes.
