Paradise on Earth

Two ordinary women, Plyusha and Natalia, live next door to each other in a typical five-story building on the edge of a field where Poles were shot at the end of the thirties.
Among the executed, it is believed, was the... Orthodox priest Thomas Golembowski, a Pole who converted to Orthodoxy and is to be canonized. Plyusha, working at the city museum of repressions, is engaged with his manuscripts. These manuscripts, especially the "Children's Gospel" written by Father Thomas in the early thirties (in which only children are the main characters), form a kind of second "layer" of the novel.
What is more in this novel — fantasy or history — everyone will decide for themselves. But the novel is truthful in the truth of the artistic gaze, which remains after History.
