Getting Ready for School

The time when a child prepares for school is important not only for the child themselves but also for parents and teachers. This publication focuses on the development of abilities... in 5-6 year old children. It will help children prepare for learning at school.
With such activities, one can: engage the child; prepare them for writing; teach them to count and compare; enrich the child's language; get the child accustomed to using an exercise workbook.
The workbook includes educational, language, and hand exercise tasks, artistic activities, as well as games.
To enrich the language, a lot of talking, storytelling, reading, and playing with words is necessary. Together with the child, one should create diminutives and look for rarer and more interesting words. Writing exercises should be done without haste. It teaches to be diligent, tidy, and attentive. The most suitable writing tool is a well-sharpened ordinary pencil. Teach them to hold it correctly and don't be afraid if the child draws (writes) with their left hand! When they begin to show interest in different line types, encourage them to play: who can come up with the most various lines and say what they resemble? Encourage the child to draw as many different lines as possible, to fantasize, and to create! Discuss their actions, observe their abilities, and rejoice together!
