Professional Supervision for Family Psychotherapists. Educational Manual

Supervision is literally a "view from above," when a more experienced professional "reviews" the work of a less experienced colleague. Systemic family therapy is represented by different schools or approaches. They differ from each other, in particular, by different rules for conducting supervisions. This manual describes the specifics of conducting supervisions in all classical directions of systemic family therapy: in the Milan school, the strategic approach of Haley-Madanes, and the structural approach of Minuchin. The manual was written by a team of authors, all of whom are actively practicing systemic psychotherapists and systemic supervisors. The manual presents the basic principles of supervision for family and systemic family therapists.
