Fundamentals of Neuropsychology

The book by the leading domestic neuropsychologist Alexander Romanovich Luria is structured as a course in which the content of neuropsychology as a subject is briefly presented. The author thoroughly analyzes the psychological structure and brain mechanisms of individual mental processes - perception, voluntary movements and actions, attention, memory, speech, and thinking. He reveals a model that is popular today among neuropsychologists and clinicians, consisting of three main blocks of the brain, in which the author's views on the holistic nature of brain activity during the implementation of mental processes and the main types of their disorders are realized.
