Incels. How Virgins Become Terrorists

In the modern world, obsessed with success, many lonely people feel like failures. «Haven't kissed, haven't touched, haven't hugged, haven't held hands, no friends, virgin» — this is how regulars of incel forums describe themselves, communities of men desperate to... find a partner. Thousands of incels bitterly and ironically criticize society, vacillating between attempts to improve their appearance and accepting eternal (as it seems to them) celibacy, and they ponder who they hate more: women or themselves. Some decide to take revenge — and take up arms.
In the book «Incels», practicing Swedish psychiatrist Stefan Krakowski opens a door into this world. He interviews incels, analyzes the crisis of masculinity, and explores the connections of radical loners with far-right movements to answer important questions: how do they become incels? How dangerous are they? And what can we do to lighten their burden before it's too late?
