Crazy Rich Russians. From Oligarchs to the New Bourgeoisie

The contradictory fame of Russian oligarchs has long spilled beyond the borders of the country where they amassed their fortunes. The whole world gossips about them, sometimes laughing, sometimes condemning, yet invariably taking their money with pleasure. But what do they think of themselves?
Austrian sociologist Elisabeth Schimflössl, who has been living in London, the capital of oligarchs, for fifteen years, has conducted hundreds of conversations with Russia's wealthiest people and their close associates to find an answer to this question. From her book, you will learn how oligarchs explain their insane wealth, what they teach their children, and what they plan to do in the new reality where they have to choose between a comfortable life in the West and the preservation of Russian assets..
