People, Years, Life. Under the Wheels of Time

The famous memoirs of Ilya Ehrenburg "People, Years, Life" are rightly considered the most interesting and comprehensive narrative among all that has been written by Russian writers of the 20th century. It is no coincidence that several years ago the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation included his memoirs in the list of "one hundred books" recommended for reading. In this volume, Ehrenburg talks about his life, the cities and countries where he lived, his friends — great poets, artists, politicians, and the tragic events of World War I and the Civil War, of which he was a witness and participant.
