Reader's Anthology: Colorful Stories: Primary School

Thematic anthologies for primary school grades include works included in all reading programs for grades 1-4 approved by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
This anthology includes classic works that mention a specific color in their titles, which is... not a randomly chosen formal feature but an indication of the variety of themes, ideas, and genres presented here. These are truly "colorful" stories – some will make the reader laugh, others will make them sad, and some of what is read may even scare them (like the tale of "Bluebeard"), but each time you will empathize with the heroes and follow their adventures with interest, whether it is a wounded duck escaping from a fox, or a merchant's daughter who finds herself in a strange land with a mysterious monster, or a young acrobat who takes risks to rescue his kidnapped dog.
The young reader will find here Russian folk tales and author's stories written by S.T. Aksakov, C. Perrault, the Brothers Grimm, and H.C. Andersen, as well as poems by Sasha Chyorny and stories by D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak, A.I. Kuprin, B.S. Zhitkov, and A.P. Gaidar.
The edition is aimed at younger students, intended for preparation for lessons and independent reading at home. All works are presented without abbreviations.
