Reader's Anthology: About Heroes: Elementary School

Thematic anthologies for elementary grades include works that are part of all reading programs for grades 1-4, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
This anthology includes classic works from various epochs, genres, and nations, united by a... common theme: they all tell stories about real and imaginary heroes – about true heroes and simply brave people, big and small, about courageous animals and even fairy-tale creatures. The young reader will encounter the works of N. A. Kun, M. Y. Lermontov, I. S. Turgenev, L. N. Tolstoy, A. N. Tolstoy, B. S. Zhitkov, and A. P. Gaidar, as well as foreign authors: E. T. A. Hoffmann, the Brothers Grimm, and H. C. Andersen.
The publication is aimed at younger schoolchildren and is intended for preparation for lessons and independent reading at home. All works are presented without abridgment.
