Reading Anthology: Towards New Adventures: Primary School

Thematic anthologies for elementary grades include works included in all reading programs for grades 1-4 approved by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
This anthology includes classical works from different eras and genres, united by a common theme: they... all tell stories about adventures, travels (by land, sea, and air), and dangers threatening the characters, whether it be an eleven-year-old schoolboy or a fairy-tale prince, a wooden puppet, or a restless frog. The young reader will be introduced to Russian folk tales, as well as to wonderful works by domestic and foreign authors: V.M. Garshin, L.N. Tolstoy, B.S. Zhitkov, A.N. Tolstoy, A.P. Gaidar, the Brothers Grimm, and O. Henry.
The publication is aimed at younger schoolchildren, intended for preparation for lessons and independent reading at home. All works are presented without abbreviations.
