Sister. A Poem in Comics

Before you is a grim story without words, inspired by poetry, masterpieces of painting from different countries and eras, as well as the aesthetics of early Zvyagintsev films. It tells of the love between a brother and sister, strict upbringing, the continuity of generations, and the difficult fate of youth living in the countryside. A comic poem at the intersection of social drama and biblical parable.
A family of three lives in a lonely house by the river, completely isolated from the world. The father raises his son and daughter strictly and ascetically, but one day his life is cut short. The children must discover themselves and make the main life choice - to follow their father's commandments or to choose their own path, to succumb to temptation and start a new life.
«Sister» is a black-and-white story without words, but they are not needed. Everything is clear without them; one just needs to look closely at the frames of the comic. The story makes you think, you want to watch it again. It’s good when what you see does not leave you indifferent to what is happening.
